How to Effectively Grow Vegetables in Urns

If you are trying to grow a garden at your home and have nutrient deprived soil, you may want to consider planting your vegetables in pots . At one of our better friend's Home in Spring Hill, Tennessee the soil is quite rocky mixedwith the dry clay soil . Instead of digging upthe rocks and replacing them with topsoil, they decided to grow their garden in pots. They planted tomatoes, okra, jalapeno peppers , green peppers, banana peppers, and several herbs. The started the plants inside in a clear tray purchased from Lowes that looked like something that could buy store bought pastries in. It worked like a a mini green house. Once the plants grew to 6-8 inches they were moved into multiple pots using garden potting soil married with with garden topsoil. Once they out grew the pots, they transplanted the tomatoes and okra into more accommodating plastic storage bins with small holes in the bottom using the same soil mixture. They filled the bins roughly 8 inches prior to placing the plants above it and surrounding with the soil mixture and added supports the tomatoes. They determined the plants were not growing as large
